About me and this blog.

Hello, thank you so much for coming over. My name is Whitney Curry Wimbish.

I was born in Anchorage, AK, spent some of my childhood in Bellingham, WA, went to school in Olympia, just like the song, and reported for a year in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Those are all beautiful and interesting places, but none are as crazily stressful as New York City. I've been here for about ten years altogether, and before I moved, my gran told me to be on the lookout for one really good thing every day, even if it was just a nice exchange between strangers or a pleasant view out the subway window when it rumbled above ground. She said one really good thing could make a terrible day worth it.

I often find myself thinking at the end of the day that my One Really Good Thing was that coffee at breakfast or the chocolate covered almonds I snacked on at work. And with that in mind, I decided to start this blog -- hopefully, after I've been at it for a while, you'll find a useful recipe or two. Hopefully, they'll translate into good things for you, too.

If you'd like to contact me, please feel free to send me an email at whitneyck at gmail dot com.
